Activate your Computer Account and BMail

BMail is your official ßÙßÇÂþ»­ e-mail address, and is where all university communications are sent.

Your ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Computer Account is used to access all online resources on campus: housing request form, Brightspace, MyßÙßÇÂþ»­, public computers on campus, Internet connection, BU BRAIN Self-Service, etc. You access your computer account by logging in with your user ID and password.

To activate your account, you will need to set an account password:

How to Set Your Account Password and 2 Factor Authentication (2FA)

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your ßÙßÇÂþ»­ username
  3. Select a contact to receive a One-Time-Password
  4. Check your email for a message with a code and enter it in the box on the Password Portal
  5. Set your new password
  6. You will see a confirmation that your password for all accounts was set.
  7. After setting your password set up 2FA by following the instructions in the support guide.

You can now . You will be required to enroll in Google 2-Step Verification for your ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Google Workspace (BMail, Drive, etc.). After you log into your account, you will see a pop-up and should follow the prompts.
