NCHA

The ACHA-National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is a nationally recognized research survey that collects precise data about students’ health habits, behaviors, and perceptions.

ßÙßÇÂþ» plans to participate in the NCHA survey bi-annually and tracks trends on several measures related to Healthy Campus 2020 objectives.

NFSHA

The ACHA–National Faculty Staff Health Assessment (NFSHA) is a survey tool, designed specifically for faculty, staff, and graduate student employees working on college and university campuses. Having current, relevant data about faculty and staff health can help enhance health promotion and prevention services by determining which employee wellness programs and services are most needed.

ßÙßÇÂþ» participated in the first Fall 2017 NFSHA. This survey has provided baseline data for our campus employees and helped set several Healthy Campus Initiative objectives.

First-year Orientation

Creating a culture of health and wellness is central to the mission of the Healthy Campus Initiative. A guiding principle of the HCI is to develop opportunities to engage students across their lifespan at the University.

As new students join the ßÙßÇÂþ» community, the HCI assesses the students’ perceptions regarding the culture of health and wellness after each First-year Orientation Session. Perceptions are measured several other times throughout students’ collegiate career.

97% of attendees find ßÙßÇÂþ» is concerned with their personal health and wellness. (2021)
99% of students are aware of health and wellness resources at ßÙßÇÂþ». (2021)
