Yu "David" Liu is interested in improving software systems through designing novel programming models, compilation techniques and run-time systems. His recent research focus includes designing energy-efficient and energy-aware programming languages, and constructing multi-core and many-core software.
He regularly teaches a graduate-level Programming Languages course (CS571), and a course on Programming Models for Emerging Platforms open for both undergraduate and graduate students (CS476/576).
Liu received his PhD from the Johns Hopkins University, and joined the of ßÙßÇÂþ» faculty in 2008. He is a recipient of an NSF CAREER Award and a Google Faculty Research Award.
