Pathways to Inclusive Leadership (Pathways) is a program designed to assist students in their leadership development through a comprehensive and inclusive approach focused on diversity, career readiness and civic engagement. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will be able to reconstruct their view of leadership to include diversity, career readiness, and community engagement.
  • Participants will increase their cultural competency and awareness while continuing their intellectual growth.
  • Participants will be able to articulate their career goals and connect their skills and interests to their goals.
  • Participants will be able to identify best practices to strengthen civic and community engagement practice and outcomes.

The Pathways program will allow students to build leadership skills through participation in various specialized workshops, trainings and activities in four categories:

  1. Foundations of Leadership
  2. Leadership in a Diverse World
  3. Leadership in Your Career
  4. Leadership in Civic Engagement

All participants are required to attend the following core workshops, one orientation session, and team building workshop. In addition, one elective workshop/activity will be required. These will be provided at a later date. Times for the workshops will be provided soon. Please revisit this page for updates.

  • Orientation, attend one session:

    • Friday, January 24 at noon

    • Friday, January 24 at 4 p.m. 

  • Team Building Core Workshop: Saturday, February 1

  • Civic Engagement Core Workshop: Sunday, February 9

  • Career and Professional Development Core Workshop: Sunday, February 23

  • Diversity Core Workshop: Sunday, March 23

  • Transformational Leadership Core Workshop: Sunday, March 30 

  • Celebration: April - TBD

Enrollment 

The Pathways program will run during the spring 2025 semester, and the applications will open on Nov. 21, 2024. Interested students can apply by Jan. 5, 2025, via .
