Background

Gates earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Public Administration degrees from ßÙßÇÂþ»­. She holds an internationally recognized Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® professional certification. She has direct experience in non-profit management, program management, community outreach and engagement, and working with students in higher education.

As a graduate student, she served in the CCPA Career and Professional Services office, providing résumé, cover letter, and professional communication and networking assistance to undergraduate and graduate students. Gates' experience includes developing and maintaining mutually beneficial community-based partnerships between students and non-profit organizations in the community. These valuable partnerships increase volunteer, internship and job opportunities for students and help meet the emerging needs of non-profit organizations and our community.

As director of admissions and student services, Gates received ßÙßÇÂþ»­'s STAR Award, which recognizes outstanding service and ongoing dedication to the principles of quality service by faculty and staff in the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ community.
