Shana Teig Kantor, executive director of Hillel 哔咔漫画, received Hillel鈥檚 Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award for her outstanding commitment to fulfilling Hillel鈥檚 mission of service to Jewish students around the globe. The award was given at Hillel Institute, a conference of Hillel professionals held at Washington University in St. Louis on Aug. 10-13. In making his presentation to Kantor, Hillel President Wayne L. Firestone noted that she is 鈥渁n experienced Hillel professional; bringing a strategic approach to Hillel鈥檚 work, and figuring out how to engage more students with fewer resources. Her vision has led to an explosion of participation in the Hillel鈥檚 Freshman Orientation, expanding the impact Hillel has on students from the moment they step on campus. Shana has demonstrated how to balance the demands of a growing family and an expanding campus program.鈥�
