For its third consecutive year, the School of Management (SOM) has been ranked as a top 10 business school among fully public institutions.

Poets & Quants developed its annual rankings based on data that included a school’s admission standards, employment outcomes and alumni surveys from the undergraduate class of 2021, which asked graduates to provide feedback on their academic experience.

“Everyone in our SOM family shares in this success, and these rankings are a testament that we are not only providing a place for our students to grow while receiving a world-class education for an incredible value but leading our students to distinctive careers in some of the world’s most innovative companies,” said SOM Dean Shelley Dionne. “We are thankful for the positive feedback from our alumni, and as we continue focusing on the impact of data analytics and technology in all aspects of business, we will ensure SOM students are well-prepared to graduate as innovators and leaders.”

SOM has been consistently ranked by Poets & Quants as one of the nation’s top public business schools. Last year, SOM gained further recognition from the Wall Street Journal by ranking among the nation’s best public schools for graduates who earn high-paying salaries in accounting, finance and marketing.

This also marks the fourth year SOM faculty have been recognized among the best business professors in the nation.

Poets & Quants named Debi Mishra, associate professor of marketing, and Chou-Yu (Joey) Tsai, Osterhout assistant professor of entrepreneurship, on its ranking of the “Top 50 Undergraduate Business Professors of 2023.”

Honorees were chosen based on nominations from students, alumni and colleagues. SOM was one of just 12 schools out of 33 represented in the ranking to have two faculty members featured on the list.
