ßŮßÇÂţ» to host nine Commencement ceremonies in May
Ceremonies to be held Thursday through Saturday, May 9-11
ßŮßÇÂţ» will confer more than 5,900 degrees for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral candidates when it holds nine separate Commencement ceremonies in May. Three ceremonies will be held daily from Thursday, May 9, through Saturday, May 11.
Doctoral candidates from all over the University, except those earning PharmD degrees, will have their hooding ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9. Each school and college will have its own ceremony and confer bachelor’s and master’s degrees to its graduates. The PharmD degrees will be conferred during that school’s ceremony. The Doctoral Hooding and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences ceremonies will take place in the Anderson Center’s Osterhout Concert Theater, while all other ceremonies will be held in the University’s Events Center.
“Commencement is a special day for our graduates to celebrate and reflect on all their accomplishments,” said President Harvey Stenger. “I am also excited to welcome and thank their families and friends, as well as the University’s faculty and staff, for all the support they’ve provided to the Class of 2024. My congratulations go out to all of ßŮßÇÂţ»â€™s graduates, and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
Over the three days, more than 4,200 of the degrees awarded will be baccalaureate degrees, and more than 1,300 master’s students will cross the stage. Nearly 400 doctoral candidates will be hooded.
