Getting around
- First-year resident students are not permitted to register or park a vehicle on campus. Transfer students may purchase parking permits online.
- University (blue buses) and city buses are free to ßÙßÇÂþ» students with a University ID. For complete details about bus transportation, including route maps and schedules, visit the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) website.
- Escape and the Greater ßÙßÇÂþ» Transportation Center offer easy ways to travel home on weekends and breaks.

BUC$
BUC$ is an optional service where money can be placed on your Student ID, turning it into a debit card for certain University services. There are no service fees, no activation fees and the money rolls over from semester to semester.

Gender Recognition, Chosen-name and Pronouns policy
ßÙßÇÂþ» strives to be an inclusive community where all are welcomed regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or background. Pronouns and a chosen name can be an important part of a person’s identity, and the University recognizes that students may want to use a name that is different from their legal name. ßÙßÇÂþ» allows students to indicate their gender, chosen first names and pronouns to the University community. Go wireless
ßÙßÇÂþ» provides wired and wireless Internet access to students, faculty, and staff. Detailed instructions for various operating systems and devices are available on the Information Technology Services web page.
The ITS Help Desk and Rescons (student computer consultants) are available to help students connect to the Internet on campus.

Safety is our priority
- Interpersonal violence prevention and substance use harm reduction: All ßÙßÇÂþ» students are expected to complete a mandatory in-person training about interpersonal violence and sexual assault prevention, and bystander intervention. The training will also provide important information about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

- Campus Safety Initiatives
- Residence hall safety − All residence hall doors are locked on a 24-hour basis, requiring key-card access.
- From midnight until 5 a.m., all gates except the main entrance to campus are closed to vehicular traffic. Vehicles admitted to campus during this time must display a current University parking decal or the occupants of the vehicle must be hosted by a member of the University community.
- Decker Students Health Services Center
- The Decker Student Health Services Center provides ßÙßÇÂþ» students with primary care of acute illness and injury, health education, women's health services (including birth control), travel medicine, immunizations, HIV testing, psychiatric consultation and laboratory services. All services are confidential and many services are covered by the mandatory University Health Fee.
- Harpur's Ferry Student Volunteer Ambulance Squad
- Fully trained and equipped Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance agency
- Fully certified by the Department of Health to operate in New York State, the same as all other transporting ambulance agencies in New York.

The University is required by The Clery Act to notify applicants of the availability of its Annual Security and Fire Report which contains three years of crime and fire statistics for the campus as well as safety and security policy statements. You may request a paper copy of the report by contacting the Human Resources Office at 607-777-2187.
