Direct vs. Indirect Costs

  • Direct costs are charges that appear on your semester bill (i.e., tuition, fees, housing, meal plan).
  • Indirect costs are other educational expenses, such books, supplies, personal, and travel expenses.

For financial aid purposes, the estimated cost of attendance budget is based on both Direct and Indirect costs. Both are taken into consideration in your financial aid package to help meet your total estimated cost of attendance. Total costs will vary based on your choice for meals (i.e., meal plans, self-prepared), housing (i.e., living on or off campus), travel (visiting your family or others) and other out-of-pocket expenses.

Note: financial aid and cost of attendance are calculated using nine months of attendance; 12 months if attending summer session.

International Students

ßÙßÇÂþ» offers a high-quality education at a lower cost compared to U.S. private schools. However, international students are not eligible for federal/state funding.

Visit the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) for resources.
If a student visa is required, international students must submit the International Student Financial Statement and an official bank statement verifying the ability to meet all educational and living expenses for the first year of study.
