When does the program begin? End?

The ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Enrichment Program begins on July 1, 2024 and the program ends on Aug 2, 2024. The Program will be Virtual from July 1st to July 4th and then ALL students must move in to the Dorms on July 5th, 2024.

This is a residential orientation program. Students will be housed on campus.

This is a mandatory program for EOP admitted freshmen.

EOP will cover the cost of eight credits, housing and meals for each student during the summer program.

What should I do if I have a conflict with the BEP dates?

For EOP freshmen, admittance into ßÙßÇÂþ»­ is contingent upon their participation in an EOP specific orientation AND the entire BEP summer program.

Students who feel that they have a conflict with the BEP dates need to speak with the EOP director.

Is transportation provided to BEP?

Yes. There is a FREE bus to ßÙßÇÂþ»­ from NYC that EOP provides for students attending BEP.

The bus to ßÙßÇÂþ»­ will pick up students outside of the SUNY Optometry, in front of Bryant Park and will be there at 9:00 am.

The bus leaving Bryant Park will bring students to ßÙßÇÂþ»­ and drop them directly outside of the residence hall they will be staying in for BEP.

Please note that there will be another FREE bus that will bring students back down to NYC at the end of the summer program.

The bus from ßÙßÇÂþ»­ will drop students outside of SUNY Optometry, in front of Bryant Park.

When is the BEP Orientation and Parent Meeting?

Attendance is required for all students at the BEP Orientation and Parent Meeting.

Can students leave on a weekend or weekday and be back before curfew?

No, students are not allowed to leave for a weekend without the director's permission.

Curfew: 11:30 p.m. Sunday–Thursday

Can students receive mail?

Yes, have it sent using the following format:

Students will not receive overnight mail sent between Friday and Saturday.

Can students have a car?

No. Students are not allowed to have a car during the summer program.

Can students have visitors in the building?

No. To protect our students and staff, there are no visitors allowed in the residence hall during the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Enrichment Program. Parents or guardians who want to contact their student MUST contact the EOP Office at 607.777.2361  if they wish to drop off items for their student. They are encouraged to mail any items.

How do I open up an on campus bank account?

Students who are 18 years old and above are welcome to open a checking bank account with . To open up a bank account students will need to present the following:

  1. Social Security Number
  2. Valid government ID

No minimum balance is required for a Flex checking account.

Rule Violations

Illegal behavior, including, but not limited to, disorderly conduct, theft, and violations of local drug and alcohol laws will not be tolerated at any time and will be cause for dismissal from the program and/or disciplinary action by the university as well as local legal charges.
