Sophie Kradjian Memorial Scholarship
Mr. Ara Kradjian
Established by Ara Kradjian in memory of his wife, Sophie, this scholarship is awarded to a student who has completed the second year of undergraduate education, majoring in French, with a strong concentration in literature, especially as preparation for graduate study in French literature. Selection of the recipients will be based on merit and financial need. An additional scholarship will be awarded to Italian majors when funding is available.

Dr. Thomas A. O'Connor and Mrs. Rae O'Connor
Established in 2005 by Dr. Thomas A. O'Connor and Mrs. Rae O'Connor. This scholarship will be awarded to a student participating in a study-abroad program through ßÙßÇÂþ» University in Spain. First preference is given to a Harpur College undergraduate Spanish major or minor with academic achievement. Second preference is for a graduate student studying Spanish.
Rigo Mignani Memorial Scholarship in Spanish

Awarded to a junior or senior who is a declared Spanish major, or a sophomore who is expected to be a Spanish major. The recipient must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher in Spanish classes.
Marjorie B. Turnbull Spanish Language and Culture Scholarship
Mr. William F. O'Brien +
Awarded to qualified students accepted into the study abroad program. Recipients will be selected based on appropriate Spanish language proficiency; interest in cultural exploration/understanding of Spain, or interest in cultural exploration and understanding of Spanish-speaking countries. Apply through the Office of International Programs.

Awarded to a junior or senior Italian major. Must have a minimum 3.3 GPA. May be used for travel to Italy.
Louis Magnotta Scholarship for Italian Studies
Retired employee of the Facilities Management Department
Established in 1996 by a retired employee of the Facilities Management Department, this scholarship is awarded annually with preference given to a student involved in Italian Studies, based on academic merit and financial need.

Local Italian-American Group
Established by a local Italian-American group in honor of Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus Aldo S. Bernardo, first professor of Italian at ßÙßÇÂþ». Award is given to a graduating senior majoring in Italian and to a graduate student doing advanced studies in the Italian Language, or such other advanced studies of Italian history or cultures.
