Looking to get involved? Students in the School of Management can choose to pursue extra-curricular opportunities with a variety of student association groups, SOM groups, SOM scholar's groups, and business fraternities and sororities. There are countless opportunities for students in SOM to network, grow their leadership and communication skills, and prepare for their future careers.

EY Student Leaders Program

The EY Student Leaders Program recognizes and provides opportunities for emerging transformative leaders – leaders who are purpose-driven and bring out the best in themselves and others.

Students will develop a mindset to analyze and innovate while thinking and acting globally. The program will provide opportunities to develop leadership skills through purpose discovery and professional networking.

PwC Scholars

The PwC Scholars Program, the Honors program of ßÙßÇÂþ»­'s School of Management, is focused on developing future leaders through academic excellence, professionalism, community service/fundraising, and unique networking opportunities. Highlights include an annual ten-day international trip, a $10,000-$20,000 self-funded community service project, a speaker series featuring prominent business leaders, and much more.

Transformational Leaders Program

The three-year Transformational Leaders Program is designed to promote successful professional trajectories for students who are underrepresented and/or facing economic barriers by providing unique personal, academic, and career development opportunities tailored to individual needs. To be considered for the program, applicants must be first-year or transfer students who are underrepresented and/or facing economic barriers and are currently accepted into or enrolled in the School of Management. Applications for fall open in July, while applications for spring open in December.

Zurack Scholars Program (for students in any school)

The Zurack Scholars Program is an opportunity for sophomore students, of exceptional merit with a strong interest in investment banking. The program integrates activities of the Zurack Trading Room (Bloomberg Terminal), finance society, quantitative finance/finance programs of the School of Management with majors from all colleges and schools at the University to prepare students for positions in the investment banking industry. Upon completion of the program, participating students are prepared to compete for jobs at the best investment banking firms.

Dean's Mentoring Program

The Dean's Mentoring Program is dedicated to fostering the professional development of outstanding freshmen and sophomores by leveraging the resources of successful upperclassmen mentors, professionals, recruiters, alumni and the Dean. The program runs in the spring semester. Students can apply in the fall semester.

Entrepreneur Connect

Entrepreneur Connect brings together those with unique skills and perspectives to drive and motivate the next generation of innovators at ßÙßÇÂþ»­. Our goal, as the premier entrepreneur group on campus, is to bridge the gap between growing entrepreneurs and available resources. To achieve this, we match students to like-minded peers, alumni, competitions and the Koffman Incubator and provide collaborative spaces on campus.

Consult Your Community
Consult Your Community (CYC), is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that inspires communities into action. As the first CYC chapter at ßÙßÇÂþ»­, we offer pro bono, hands-on consulting services to local businesses in the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ area. Through semester-long, skills-based consulting projects we mobilize college students to leverage their education, digital fluency, mentorship networks, and knowledge as customers to empower small business owners and drive change in their communities.

Business, Entertainment, Advertising & Media (BEAM)

BEAM is a student organization at ßÙßÇÂþ»­ that was started in 2016. The club focuses on combining aspects of business, entertainment, advertising, and media so that our members immerse themselves in a hands-on digital media experience where they are creating, sharing, and marketing online content. Members will learn useful content creation and editing skills to prepare them for careers in some of the most exciting media industries. Since ßÙßÇÂþ»­ has no major in communications, public relations, or advertising, BEAM offers students interested in those areas an opportunity to pursue them.

Business Fashion Society (BUBFS)

The ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Business Fashion Society is an organization for students who have an interest/passion in the fashion industry. Members will have the opportunity to network and connect with professionals in the industry, gain career advice and industry knowledge and have opportunities to apply to various internships/full-time positions. The purpose of this organization is to bring together students with creative minds and a love for the fashion industry and to open their eyes to the endless amounts of opportunities that are available that they might not be aware of. The ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Business Fashion Society is open to all majors and gives members opportunities in the industry to learn, connect and network.

ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Finance Society
The ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Finance Society is a forum for motivated students to share knowledge about the world of finance. Our primary focus is to assist members in developing a professional network, finding internships and learning technical finance in order to pursue careers in the investment management and investment banking industries. Furthermore, students will build on material learned in class by applying qualitative and quantitative analysis to solve case studies and implement research projects on an individual and collaborative basis. Students will have the unique opportunity to develop a professional development strategy tailored to meet their career aspirations.

The ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Investment Fund is a student-run investment club that manages a half-million dollar portfolio donated to the School of Management. The fund provides students with the opportunity to gain real-life investing experience.  Anyone interested in office finance is highly recommended to apply.

The Women in Finance Development Program is an educational mentorship program that aims to teach underclassmen women about financial skills and concepts. This eight-week program is designed to inform high-potential female underclassmen interested in finance about the intricacies of the industry and pair them with high-achieving upperclassmen and professional mentors. It focuses on professional development and workshops ranging from Bloomberg Terminal skills and technical and fundamental valuation analysis to professionalism. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about different careers within the finance industry through networking and presentations. Each mentee will be paired with an upperclassmen mentor who has been successful in her pursuit of front-office finance. Mentees will also have the opportunity to network with professionals in a variety of roles within the finance industry. The program aims to provide a complete and comprehensive program experience for all participants

Information Systems Club is an official Information Systems Audit and Control Association student chapter that was formally recognized in 2016. Open to all majors, our purpose is to explore the crossroads of technology and business, as well as empower students and expand recognition of IT Audit and Assurance, Security and IT Governance disciplines, by extending education beyond the classroom.

The ßÙßÇÂþ»­ Real Estate Society is committed to providing students with an in-depth understanding of the real estate market, from residential to commercial properties. Join us for insightful discussions, workshops, and lectures that will broaden your knowledge and keep you current on the newest trends and advancements. We believe in experiential learning. As a result, we provide interactive experiences such as property tours, real estate investment simulations, and case studies. Put your knowledge to use and learn practical skills that will set you apart in the competitive real estate market. Networking is essential in the real estate market, and our society provides unique access to a private alumni network. We've developed good working connections with notable real estate firms and corporations. Data Science & Analytics Club

The primary purpose is to provide interested students with the opportunity to learn more about the fields of Data Science and Analytics. Additionally, the club will facilitate student-led tutorials on technical skills, host competitions in data science, and work with on and off campus groups and individuals to bring Data Science to ßÙßÇÂþ»­ University, through research, and seminars. The group will advocate on behalf of the undergraduate student body for a major in Data Science.

National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)

NABA addresses the needs of minority students interested in the various management disciplines, and promotes the development of skills and talents central to successful careers. The group facilitates the students’ transition from high school to college, undergraduate to graduate, or academic to corporate environments.

Product Management Development Program (PMDP)

The Product Management Development Program is an organization for students who want to foster their interest in product management. The purpose of this organization is to give students an interactive learning experience within the industry. Members will also have the opportunity to network with professionals in the field. The PMDP welcomes all majors and gives members opportunities to learn, connect and network within the industry.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

SHRM is a national organization with over 250,000 members and 450 student organizations. This organization will give students the opportunity to gain insight and knowledge about the human resources field.

Sports Management Group (SMG)

Sports Management Group is a professional student organization that provides students pursuing a career in sports management the experience and opportunities necessary to be successful upon entering the workforce. Through case competitions, networking calls, resume development, interview preparation, and bi-weekly seminars on different aspects of sports management, students will develop a complete understanding of the field. The organization also runs fantasy leagues and intramural sport teams for its members as well as a unique head to head March Madness Case Competition. Since ßÙßÇÂþ»­ has no major in sports management, the organization is open to students of all majors.

The goal of the Student Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Club is to lead diversity and culture initiatives for students to feel represented, supported and valued. In this capacity, the Committee Members and Executive Board Members will lead its own DEI initiatives, collaborate with other student organizations on related efforts, and offer recommendations to the faculty/staff SOM Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging Committee to ensure students contribute their voices to the conversation around diversity and inclusion in SOM.

Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity is the nation’s oldest and largest co-ed business fraternity, which includes a network of over 350 established chapters throughout the continental United States. Delta Sigma Pi exists to stimulate the study of business in universities, promote closer affiliation between students and professionals, and foster a higher standard of commercial ethics. The Kappa Lambda chapter at ßÙßÇÂþ»­, chartered in 1981, is the largest professional group on campus and represents students in all areas of business.
